MUNCIE – A Muncie man convicted of sex crimes in Florida does not have to register locally as a sex offender, the Indiana Court of Appeals has ruled.

NO ONE ANYWHERE who had done their time and paid their “debt to society” should have to register. If they have done that and are set free after it being determined that they are not a threat.
I’m feeling really good right now that this is totally messin with quite a few heads in Indiana. Sounds like appeals court there has actually heard about ex post facto. It would be really nice if they took a little time to educate the courts here in the stupid state. 🙂
Unfortunately, all these cases do nothing for those of us with more recent convictions…meanwhile I AND my family are both punished without end. It’s time to stop the madness!
Someone I know in Indiana was set up by a vindictive ex (pix on computer). Person couldn’t prove who used his computer, so he was advised to take a plea deal – being told he would not have to register on Sex Offense Registry. At the final court date, he was told that the law just changed (Dec 2014) and that EVERYONE had to register, and that it was retroactive.
This person is zero threat to anyone, yet his life is being ruined by this because of a vindictive ex.
